Something I don't like about myself is the way I'm so selfish with my education. I really struggle with being diligent in it, appreciating it and taking advantage of it. It's not that I'm so smart that got me to college it's the fact that I have the opportunity to go. Even though my parents can't pay for college I still have financial aid and the school is there. It's a quality school. A lot of people can't even go to school with out worrying about weather they will have light at home to study and they also worry about their lives. But they do it anyway. They know the importance and privilege of education. Sweet, I'm just another American. |

A quick update on my life. -I started school. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, My sociology class. History of Art is growing on me. And I'll never like Math. - I am now an official member of Professional Tennis Registry. A program that will help me become a tennis instructor - I am going to two Switchfoot Concerts in the next 3 months. - I found a pair of rocketdogs for $5. In fact I found two pairs of rocketdogs for $5 each, but I only bought one pair. Still pretty exciting though right? - God. - I quit my job as a CSR. Now I work in the nursery. - Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord. |

Annie Nelson still writes in LJ. How come I don't? Because I have four different Blogs. But I'll try to keep blogging in this. But, I wanted to make a couple of lists. List One: Books I want to own and read: 1. Breaking Back: How I Lost Everything and Won Back My Life By James Blake 2. Gods That Fail: Modern Idolatry & Christian Mission By Vinoth Ramachandra 3. SexGod By Rob Bell 4. That one book, that Noel talked about.
List Two: Things I need/want to do: 1. Start writing down Random Thoughts, Observations, Theories, and Good Ideas to remember (Again) 2. Start Reading (again) 3. Start going to random churches. Because I can 4. Go to an insane amount of concerts 5. Make another list of things that make me happy. |

I'm so excited for these few months to come. I have a lot planned including a few trips! I'm not really going to school. I'm taking a math Lab so I can attend Ferris in the Fall (MAYBE?) and that is it. Instead of studying school I'm going to study well, God. I have a feeling this is going to be good these next few months. I have a new Job at Court One East (A tennis facility). I'm excited to really meet everyone I work with. And Of course, EPIC is on Thursday! I'm super excited for that. That is what I missed most. The people from epic and just being around them.

So I'm not a new years eve resolution kind of gal but I was reading this article in self magazine about a singer that instead of making new years resolutions she just makes it a resolution to "try new things". So I got this idea so write down a list of things of things I would like to try that are new in 2007. Here is my list so far: 1. TAKE A FITNESS CLASS OF SOME SORTS (i.e. PILATES, KICK BOXING, YOGA) 2. GO ROCK CLIMBING (AT THE LEDGES) 3. MOVE OUT. (i.e. FERRIS? LT? OR JUST MOVE OUT!) 4. MEMORIZE A BOOK OF THE BIBLE 5. GO ON MY FIRST PLANE BY MYSELF 6. GO TO CALIFORNIA 7. RUN A 5K 8. GO TO CHICAGO 9. TRY ES CARGO 10. LEARN HOW TO GOLF?
I know a couple of these I'll do like 3, 5, and 6 because those are just pretty much already planned so I would like some other ones. Any suggestions? Things you have done already.

* When I read books it isn't so bad if I can't highlight, bend the pages, write in them or keep pictures, leaves, flowers or sticky notes in them. Since I've really tried to keep those habits away I've found it cheaper to get books at the library. Plus the Library has both CD's and DVD's that can be burned. And if they don't have something they can get it for you. I've really started to enjoy this whole free stuff at the library. I've decided that I can just write the things down instead of highlighting them, that was my huge problem with the library.
* I've also realized that root beer floats are amazing.
* It's not a good to go run right after you ate a four sided meal. You might feel like you are going to throw up.
* Plans can change in minutes
* Old songs can be the best

Why do dogs chew on stuff? Especially stuff that I am borrowing. Like a book? My dog chewed a brand new library book up! I'm pretty angry at the k9 right now. UGH!
